This winter has been a surprise of challenges with the continuous snow and frigid temperatures. I never thought that our staff may have needed snowmobiles to make their visits. The staff continues to amaze me as they brave the brutal weather to travel to the homes of your loved ones. Here’s hoping March brings needed relief from our long bout with winter.
It has been a busy time since I last wrote to update you on all of our activities. Members of my senior staff accompanied me to three major national home care meetings in Washington D.C., Las Vegas and Phoenix. As you probably have noticed, it is a time of many changes within the health care industry. We pride ourselves in being a progressive agency in the home care arena and we want to be a part of building a unique model of care to address the ever-changing needs of our home care clients and their families. These conferences not only bring new ideas back to our region, it also confirms our continued commitment of providing high-quality service to our community.
Our IT and Marketing departments have been busy with a new look for our website. We’ve also entered the world of social media. You can now like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter: @wihhc. While we are still discovering the benefits of social networking, we’re enjoying engaging people at a whole new level.
May God bless you and your family as we continue our journey through 2014.
