Barb Byers, CEO/President and Alice Stenander, Director of Client Services of Western Illinois Home Health Care recently attended the National Private Duty Association’s annual Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida.
The five-day conference centered on operations, marketing and technology within the industry and included breakout sessions focusing on care management and client advocacy.
“The conference gave us an opportunity to exchange ideas with other successful agencies throughout the country to develop and expand services that enable people to stay at home,” Byers said.
Byers, who also serves as Chairperson for Illinois Homecare and Hospice Council’s Private Duty Work Group, learned about innovative programs to make private duty home care more marketable throughout the state.
“The National Private Duty Association has set the standard for best practices and training that I will be able to bring to the state committee as we continue to be advocates for our clients and private-pay home care in Illinois.”
