Senior Care Management offers advocacy and support to seniors and their families. This service provides care coordination which includes development of the care plan, overseeing the hired caregivers, attends and coordinates medical appointments, offers conflict resolution and crisis intervention, ensures that needed services and resources are in place, along with many other duties. Our Senior Care Management Team is your family’s advocate for your loved one’s unique needs.  

Amanda Powell is the Senior Care Manager at Western Illinois Home Health Care and its sister Agency, Western Illinois Managed Home Services.  Amanda graduated from Western Illinois University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a minor in Law Enforcement Justice Administration.  She worked with seniors in multiple capacities over 8 years as a Hospital Based Care Coordinator doing state pre-screens for seniors entering a nursing home,  as a Protective Service Specialist conducting elder abuse investigations, and then as a Care Coordinator Supervisor for the Illinois’ Department on Aging’s Community Care Program services. She is also a Certified Patient Advocate.  Amanda lives in St. Augustine with her husband and 3 children.
