CAREGIVER TESTIMONIALS

"I love being a caregiver because at the end of the day, no matter what else is going on in the world, I know that I made a difference. When I was a child, my grandma had in home health care for my grandfather. I remember hearing stories of caregivers mistreating him. When I got older I remember telling my mom about how I'd NEVER put her with "those people" and she said, "if you feel so strongly about it, do something to change it." After thinking about it for a while, I knew my mom was right, so I applied for this job. I know that at the end of the day, my clients appreciate me, they trust me, and are always satisfied with the work I do. I love that feeling of helping people. I know I can't help everyone, but even if I can help at least one person, and allow them to stay in their home, I know I'm making a difference. A lot of my clients don't have families, or they have family but they don't really have a lot to do with them nor do they help them physically or mentally. That's where I come in. I help them, listen to them, do things not necessarily the way I would do it, but the way they want it done."

"I absolutely LOVE being a caregiver because knowing some of the clients has no family and I am all they have, makes me want to step up do everything I can to help them be more independent and just showing them some love! Seeing some of the client's get stronger and more independent knowing I'm here to help them all the way make me feel absolutely fabulous! I have a lot of love in my heart, and I love showing it."

"I love my clients! I love visiting with them and learning their history! I feel accomplished and knowing that I made a difference in someone's life when I go home at night."

"I love the smiles I get when I walk into their homes. Also I love knowing I am sometimes the only person they will talk to that day and that I mean A LOT to them. I need them as much as they need me!"

"The one thing I am most proud of being a caregiver is making my clients feel they are important and making sure they have their dignity and respect intact while I take care of them."

"Being able to make people feel that they still have a reason for being here and the joy you get to see on their face when you come. Sometimes you are the only one they see or talk to ever. Also for being able to keep them in their homes."

"I love being able to make some one smile. Weather it's with my dry humor or making a breakfast and treating my client like he/she is at a 5 star dinner. No matter how simple the meal might be. The joy my clients express with me being around makes me feel good and results in a healthier outlook on life"

"The thing I love most about being a caregiver is helping out everyone that can’t help themselves and socializing with them because they always get so excited when they have someone to talk to and we help them so much by coming a couple hours a week with all the stuff that they can’t do when nobody’s there"

"Interacting with our clients gives me energy and purpose. In return, this inspires me to make their day more meaningful and complete. Through the variety of challenges faced each day, I strive to encourage and help those who are unable to help themselves anymore, while finding ways to make them feel better, valued, and that they still have a purpose on earth."

"Being a caregiver gives me joy knowing I made my client’s day. My parents are elderly and should they ever need help, I would think that a caregiver would treat them like a family member would. My clients are of different age and I treat them all the same. I just love elderly people. Sometimes we're all they have."

"Simply put, what I love the most about being a caregiver is the feeling that I am doing something to make my little corner of the universe a better place."

"I love that I play a part in these guys getting to stay at their home and not have to end up in a facility. It's like have a bunch of Grandma's and Grandpa's that you get to see a lot!"

"I'm helping my clients to do tasks that they are unable to do and knowing that it helps keep them in their homes. My job is very rewarding!"

"The best thing about being a caregiver to me is being able to show and give compassion to the clients"

"The one thing I love being about being a caregiver is seeing all the clients smiling face every time you walk in the door."

"I really enjoy seeing my client's face light up when I arrive as I know then I must be doing them a good job. Love the elderly."

"The thing I love the best about being a caregiver is the ability to help others reach their goals. Helping people maintain their independence, mobility and freedom is very important to me."

"The thing I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is that most of the time I can go into a person's place and become friends with them and after being with them for a while I can tell when they're not feeling well and when they are depressed and happy I enjoy my work with the elderly."

"I love making a difference in my clients lives-it makes it all worth it!"

"I love caring for people so they get to remain in their homes."

"I enjoy the smiles the clients give me or the gratefulness of the client just for helping them."

"The best part of being a caregiver is knowing I make a difference in someone's life "

"The best part of being a caregiver, simply put, is my clients."
